If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR or Art. 9 para. 2 lit. a GDPR if special categories of data are processed pursuant to Art. 9 para. 1 GDPR. We also process your data where necessary to fulfil a legal obligation on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR. Processing may also be based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The applicable legal bases in each individual case are explained in the following sections of this privacy policy.
Recipients of personal data
As part of our business activities, we work with various external parties. In some cases, this also requires the transfer of personal data to these external parties. We disclose personal data to external parties only where this is necessary to fulfil a contract, where we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. disclosure of data to tax authorities), where we have a legitimate interest in disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, or where another legal basis permits disclosure. When using processors, we disclose our customers' personal data only on the basis of a valid data processing agreement. In the case of joint processing, a joint processing agreement is concluded.
Withdrawal of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are possible only with your express consent. You may withdraw consent that you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of data processing carried out before withdrawal remains unaffected.
Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct advertising (Art. 21 GDPR)
IF DATA PROCESSING IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6 PARA. 1 LIT. E OR F GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AT ANY TIME TO OBJECT, ON GROUNDS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 PARA. 1 GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT ADVERTISING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH ADVERTISING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING TO THE EXTENT THAT IT IS CONNECTED WITH SUCH DIRECT ADVERTISING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL THEN NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT ADVERTISING (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 PARA. 2 GDPR).
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. This right exists without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will be carried out only where technically feasible.
Information, correction and deletion
Within the scope of applicable law, you have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing, and, where applicable, the right to correction or deletion. You may contact us at any time regarding this and other questions concerning personal data.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data. You may contact us at any time regarding this. The right to restriction exists in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we generally need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request restriction of processing.
- If the processing of your personal data was or is unlawful, you may request restriction of processing instead of deletion.
- If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request restriction of processing instead of deletion.
- If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. Until it has been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request restriction of processing.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data may—apart from being stored—be processed only with your consent, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.
SSL or TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the website operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. Payment transactions using common means of payment (Visa/MasterCard, direct debit) are carried out exclusively via an encrypted SSL or TLS connection. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser address changing from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock symbol in your browser bar.
With encrypted communication, the payment details you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

The operators of these pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising being sent, such as spam e-mails.
4. Data collection on this website
Cookies
Our websites use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small data packages and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Persistent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or your web browser deletes them automatically.
Cookies may come from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable certain third-party services to be integrated into websites (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping basket function or video display). Other cookies may be used to evaluate user behaviour or for advertising purposes.
Cookies required to carry out electronic communication, provide certain functions requested by you (e.g. the shopping basket function) or optimise the website (e.g. cookies for measuring the audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG); consent may be withdrawn at any time.
You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set, to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or generally, and to activate automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
This privacy policy explains which cookies and services are used on this website.

- Information about your device
- Time of your visit to the website

Usercentrics also stores a cookie in your browser to assign the consents you have given or their withdrawal to you. The data collected in this way is stored until you ask us to delete it, delete the Usercentrics cookie yourself, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
The Usercentrics banner on this website was configured with the help of eRecht24. You can recognise this because the eRecht24 logo appears in the banner. To display the eRecht24 logo in the banner, a connection is established to eRecht24's image server. The IP address is also transmitted, but is stored in the server logs only in anonymised form. The eRecht24 image server is located in Germany and operated by a German provider. The banner itself is provided exclusively by Usercentrics.
Usercentrics is used to obtain the legally required consents for the use of certain technologies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR.
Data processing on behalf of a controller
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the above-mentioned service. This is a contract required by data protection law which ensures that the service processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not combined with other data sources.
This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website; the server log files must be recorded for this purpose.
Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not disclose this data without your consent.
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR if your enquiry is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in effectively processing enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), if requested; consent may be withdrawn at any time.
The data you enter in the contact form remains with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions, particularly retention periods, remain unaffected.
Enquiries by e-mail, telephone or fax
If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or fax, your enquiry, including all personal data resulting from it (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request.
The data you send us in contact enquiries remains with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions, particularly statutory retention periods, remain unaffected.
Communication via WhatsApp
For communication with our customers and other third parties, we use, among other things, the instant messaging service WhatsApp. The provider is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.
Communication is protected by end-to-end encryption (peer-to-peer), which prevents WhatsApp or other third parties from accessing the communication content. However, WhatsApp obtains access to metadata generated during the communication process (e.g. sender, recipient and time). We also point out that, according to its own statements, WhatsApp shares users' personal data with its corporate parent Meta, which is based in the USA. Further details on data processing can be found in WhatsApp's privacy policy at: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/#privacy-policy.
WhatsApp is used on the basis of our legitimate interest in communicating with customers, prospective customers and other business and contractual partners as quickly and effectively as possible (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). If corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of consent; this may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
Communication content exchanged between you and us on WhatsApp remains with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions, particularly retention periods, remain unaffected.
The company is certified under the “EU-US Data Privacy Framework” (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the USA intended to ensure compliance with European data protection standards when data is processed in the USA. Every company certified under the DPF undertakes to comply with these data protection standards. Further information is available from the provider at the following link: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/7735.
We use WhatsApp in the “WhatsApp Business” version.
Data transfers to the USA are based on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses. Details can be found here: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/business-data-transfer-addendum.
5. Analytics tools and advertising
Google Analytics
This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyse the behaviour of website visitors. The website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, length of visit, operating systems used and the user's origin. This data is assigned to the respective user's device. It is not assigned to a user ID.
Google Analytics may also record your mouse and scrolling movements and clicks. It also uses various modelling approaches to supplement the collected data sets and uses machine-learning technologies when analysing data.
Google Analytics uses technologies that enable recognition of users for the purpose of analysing user behaviour (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about your use of this website is generally transferred to and stored on a Google server in the USA.
This service is used on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
Data transfers to the USA are based on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses. Details can be found here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.
The company is certified under the “EU-US Data Privacy Framework” (DPF). Further information is available from the provider at the following link: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/5780.
IP anonymisation
Google Analytics IP anonymisation is activated. This means that Google truncates your IP address within Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity and provide other services related to website and Internet use to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
Browser plug-in
You can prevent Google from collecting and processing your data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
More information about how Google Analytics handles user data can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.
Data processing on behalf of a controller
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
Matomo
This website uses the open-source web analytics service Matomo.
With the help of Matomo, we can collect and analyse data about the use of our website by visitors. This enables us to determine, among other things, when which pages were accessed and from which region visitors came. We also collect various log files (e.g. IP address, referrer, browsers and operating systems used) and can measure whether visitors perform certain actions (e.g. clicks, purchases, etc.).
This analytics tool is used on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising. If corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
IP anonymisation
We use IP anonymisation when analysing data with Matomo. Your IP address is truncated before analysis so that it can no longer be clearly assigned to you.
Hosting
We host Matomo exclusively on our own servers, so all analytics data remains with us and is not disclosed.
Google Ads
The website operator uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising program of Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Ads enables us to display advertisements in the Google search engine or on third-party websites when users enter certain search terms in Google (keyword targeting). Targeted advertisements may also be displayed based on user data held by Google (e.g. location data and interests) (audience targeting). As the website operator, we can evaluate this data quantitatively, for example by analysing which search terms led to our advertisements being displayed and how many advertisements resulted in corresponding clicks.
This service is used on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
Data transfers to the USA are based on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses. Details can be found here: https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks and https://business.safety.google/controllerterms/.
The company is certified under the “EU-US Data Privacy Framework” (DPF). Further information is available from the provider at the following link: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/5780.
6. Plugins and tools
Google Fonts (local hosting)
This site uses so-called Google Fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. Google Fonts are installed locally. No connection to Google servers is established.
Further information about Google Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
Spotify
This website integrates functions of the Spotify music service. The provider is Spotify AB, Birger Jarlsgatan 61, 113 56 Stockholm, Sweden. You can recognise the Spotify plugins by the green logo on this website. An overview of Spotify plugins can be found at: https://developer.spotify.com.
When you visit this website, the plugin may establish a direct connection between your browser and the Spotify server. Spotify thereby receives information that you have visited this website with your IP address. If you click the Spotify button while logged in to your Spotify account, you can link the content of this website to your Spotify profile. Spotify can thereby assign the visit to your user account.
Please note that Google Analytics cookies are used when Spotify is used, meaning that your usage data may also be transmitted to Google. Google Analytics is a tool of the Google group for analysing user behaviour, based in the USA. Spotify is solely responsible for this integration. As the website operator, we have no influence over this processing.
Data is stored and analysed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the appealing acoustic design of its website.
Further information can be found in Spotify's privacy policy: https://www.spotify.com/de/legal/privacy-policy/.
If you do not want Spotify to be able to associate your visit to this website with your Spotify user account, please log out of your Spotify user account.
7. eCommerce and payment providers
Processing customer and contract data
We collect, process and use customer and contract data to establish, define the content of and amend our contractual relationships. We collect, process and use personal data concerning the use of this website (usage data) only insofar as this is necessary to enable or charge the user for use of the service. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.
The customer data collected will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship and expiry of any applicable statutory retention periods. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
Data transmission upon conclusion of a contract for services and digital content
We transfer personal data to third parties only where this is necessary for contract processing, for example to the credit institution commissioned to process payments.
No further transfer of data takes place unless you have expressly consented to the transfer. Your data will not be disclosed to third parties without express consent, for example for advertising purposes.
The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
8. Our own services
Handling applicant data
We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by e-mail, post or via an online application form). Below, we inform you about the scope, purpose and use of your personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that your data will be collected, processed and used in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other statutory provisions, and that your data will be treated strictly confidentially.
Scope and purpose of data collection
If you send us an application, we process the associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes from interviews, etc.) insofar as this is necessary to decide whether to establish an employment relationship. The legal basis is § 26 BDSG under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (general initiation of a contract) and—if you have given consent—Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. Within our company, your personal data is disclosed only to persons involved in processing your application.
If the application is successful, the data you submit will be stored in our data processing systems for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship on the basis of § 26 BDSG and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.
Data retention period
If we cannot offer you a position, if you reject a job offer or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have submitted on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) for up to 6 months after the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). The data will then be deleted and physical application documents destroyed. Retention serves in particular as evidence in the event of legal disputes. If it is apparent that the data will be required after the six-month period has expired (e.g. because of pending or threatened legal proceedings), deletion will take place only when the purpose for further retention no longer applies.
Longer retention may also take place if you have given corresponding consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
